Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well.
This is what's happening to my 2002 Freelander sunroof, I took it appart because I lubricated the guides and everything. When I put everything back on, it tilts and opens fine and it stops on the fully open position, the way it's supposed to be, but when it comes to closing it, when it reaches the fully closed position the motor just won't stop working, it only stops if I depress the button, which is a pain in the butt because I have to keep an eye on the glass everytime I close it and I was wondering if anyone could help me with that.
I've read as many posts as I could looking for an answer but I didn't have any luck.
By the way, I've read that many posts are about the sunroof jamming or making the click kind of sound when working, it happened to me once and I took the motor appart and discovered that the main plastic gear wears out and needs to be replaced, there is a place here where you can have it custom made. After you replace it, it works smoothly.
Thanks a lot.
