Cool start with a wee breeze that will keep the midges away.
More slabbing today need to find a jointing compound for indian sandstone, mine are buff but all different colours.
Loads on the market not sure which to buyprobably a brush in one I aint spending a week wiv a jointing trowel lol
We put down the Indian buff sandstone at my lads and the professional opinion was to use an only just moist mix of sand/cement and pack it into the joints, round it off with a tool and gently brush it clear then water it and walk away. Seems to have worked.

Evening folks.
Sitting down by the broads having a pint
Been up since 1am uk time and if I hadn’t come out for a walk I would have been asleep on the couch.
So anyway trip over to see Mum still in hospital but on a promise for escape today.
Which was pulled off successfully.
So we took the easy option of fish and chip supper
So a bit of gardening tomorrow and on to BT as Dad has been without a landline for 2 days. He’s terrible on a normal phone with what button to press. Just think what he’s like with a mobile.
Anyway smiles all round and hopefully the whole house will get a dam good nights sleep.

As much as both Mum & Dad have only good things to say about the NHS for the treatment. As everyone knows/says it’s better at home and helps recovery.
She may rattle a bit with all the extra pills. But hope it’s for the good, she certainly looks better today than when I facetimed. So all good. For now.
My main objective is to stop her overdoing it.Get some shopping in. Try and get the garden under control, and convince them to get a gardener for half a day a week, and get them to order shopping online.
It seems that age has suddenly caught up with them since I last saw them (jan last year).
But they are tough so all good for now.

When I had a quick read about it the other day, the cement stained the sandstone. Ive laid the slabs on a bed on sand n cement
which I have plenty off I aint bought anything to do the joints yet.
