So after the rebuild and fitting the engine back in it was time to turn it over to get the oil pressure up before connecting the coil packs and fuel system.

Looke as though you have put it in the wrong way up, this may cause you problems

Yep all the fluids drained out

Yep out from the front with the TQ attached

Looks nice and easy, if I finish my build I’ll swap mine out like that, is yours all running now and did you rebuild your vanos ?

This has been a total rebuild of the heads, vanos, new sh bottom end due to scoring of cylinder 3 I think. Found x3 coil packs down back on it Wednesday. Full write up with pics to follow

Well we got this running at last one of the cams was 180 degrees out. Doh

Easy to get right and wrong !

No it was a silly error as the cams are marked at the rear. E for inlet and A for exhaust and should be clearly seen when at tbc on both banks.
We found this out afterwards, engine fires and runs sweet as now just have to sort a vanos rattle and put the rest of it back together
