Evening all!

The 110s going to be booked in for a rear xmember replacement shortly I thought at the same time id get the injector seals replaced at the same time to minimise down time.

Main reason is I was under the impresssion that injector seals arnt something that can be replaced DIY without some pricey special tools. Is that right?

The 110 isnt showing signs of needing seal replacement but coming up on 110k and driven daily thought I would do it as a preventative measure. Wise or a waste?

you dont need any pricey tools and it is a relatively simple diy job,id change them if theyve done 100k,they will go in time

Conflicting now lol.

What is the process for doing so? I thought a fancy slide hammer and a few other bits where needed?
 
Cheers! Very helpful. You done it before?
Done mine a couple of times using an Allen key take your time be sure that they go back in the same place and keep things as clean as possible you don't want any dirt to get in there.
Be careful putting the rocker shaft and arms in tighten it down slowly and evenly, and back the screws off as shown.
It sounds more daunting than it really is, you won't think twice next time.
 
That is some mucky engine in the autoexpress video - clearly no regular oil changes or centrifugal filter not working.
 
Yeah does look a tad involved but I believe its within my skill set to do so!

Ordered some lil heel bars and ill grind down an allen key too.

Its a doddle, personally I used the tool, no way of knowing how stuck they might be so did not want to take a change and mash up the head.

make you you have a few spare copper seals, i used a socket to get em on square etc thats the hardest bit really.
