Guess what I'm doing this weekend
New AMC head from Turners, and a big thank you to Frida, who called me at 20:00 Weds night to tell me she was packing it up for shipping before she went on holiday the next day!

First observations are, the injector pockets are very chunky!! My old head cracked twice at No.1 pocket.
the head came with new exhaust studs and copper seals.

Ill do a proper thread on the TD5 section when its all in!

Hi the circled pic is the one showing the original crack in my head, before it was repaired.
Yes small scratches can def look like cracks.
I was going to invest in an NDT/Dye pen kit to find the more recent crack but decided to get on with fitting the new one instead.
Its all done now, just took her up the road for spin, all looks good so far!
Ill do a write up in the TD5 section.
Mondays little job is fix the 3 Amigos! I dont mind not having ABS etc, but the lights are distracting when you drive at night!
