It worries me not on your hypothesis.

If yu wish to delude yourself, I care not a fig, but it is well documented that the K series Freelanders were poorly designed, poorly executed and poorly built.

Maintenance is of no more a significant factor than any other vehicle, unless you are suggesting that the likely owner if a K series freelander is such a moronic excuse for a human being that they are much more likely to curtail the maintenance than the owner of any other vehicle.

I refer you to the dog and lemon guide 2010 on the Freelander :eek:.

they are better than the td4 powerwise and can be more reliable if looked after.

bad maintenance and lack of servicing are the major issues with the k ;)

i look after a few and apart from doing head gasket they are still doing well years after

the main thing i checked before doing my head gasket was the liner height.

all fairly equal and proud by 4-5 thou so it should last a bit longer :)


they are nice cars but eventually I will get a tratter as i'm more at home with the mechanicals, too many ecu's and other gubbins makes me uncomfortable:(

liner protrusion is vital:)
