its not welded or at least shouldnt be,the rear corner panel and quarter are welded together and come off as one ,just screws blots and stuck with sealer which on some can be a bit tricky

Yup, the sealer can be a bit of a pig to remove without damaging the panel. Best bet is to take it slow with a stanley knife and flat head.

I am able to repair my rear tubs and quarter without removing the outer aluminium panel thankfully :)

As said, lots of sealer, very sticky stuff but keep at it and it will come off.

I thought there was some spot welds by the door and drilled them out before realising the little filler plate I was unwelding was attached to the body by a bolt.

Farly easy job but a helping hand is a big help.

you need to completely remove the inner panels and roof lining in order to get at all the srews and bolts. To seperate the sealant I recommend a hacksaw blade sharpened on a grinder and a load oif gaffer tape round the base for an handle. it's flexiblity makes cutting thru the sealant, a dodddle..

that simple wow!!! I might just do that and then repair the rust at the top of the door pillar and totally replace the floor with chequer plate mm I have had a vision! hehe

mm could do remove all the doors and skins and then lift off the chassis and tidy that up and paint the chassis and replace any rust with new metal sheets and paint all up with hammerite and bolt all back up mmmm

That is pretty much what ive done :D

matthews2riches yeah the only dilema is how to lift the body off the chassis with limited stuff etc wood block across one side of the sill and jack up and then some bar across under the boot floor after lift above the chassis etc and rol out ?? will that work
