Hello folks,

I'm starting to see ever so small surfice rust come through on my defenders rear cross member. I want to prevent this for any further. What products are there available on the market that are good.

It's a 2008 model.

If you can see it on the outside, it's the inside you want to worry about. Typically the chassis rots from the inside out. You can rub the outside down, treat with a rust converter, give it a coat of primer, give it a coat of Hammerite - it'll look fine. But I'd still be looking to treat the inside of the chassis - Waxoyl, Dinitrol, used engine oil(!)...

Looking to use the KBS system myself as a cheaper option to POR15

RustSeal - Stop Rust Paint - Non Porous Coating - KBS Coatings

Doesn't sort inside the chasis however!

Have used Hammerite Kurust, Rust primer and Stone Chip paint on footwells and lower steel frame of doors as well

Not if you don't bother taxing, insuring or driving it

It's an effing expensive garden ornament though
