Took my 90 for an evening cruise tonight and noticed that the oil light was flashing on and off when I stop at a light and the engine is at idle.
If I give the engine a slight touch of throttle the light goes out.
I think maybe that the idle is set too low?
Temperature was perfect and when I got home the oil level was perfect and there is no oil leak.

What should I check?

Oil pressure? :doh:
coud be yo pressure sensor. Change it to be sure.

As Mhm says, change your pressure switch its a piece of **** if you got a 200 or 300 tdi

I used to have a disco 200 tdi that did it. I used to look at it as a bonus cos it would come on sooner rather than later. 9 years i had that disco no oil pressure probs

The only time the light comes on is when she has warmed up and is at idle.
If I slightly touch the throttle the light goes out and stays out until I idle again.

I will have my new sensor next week.

Should I continue to drive it?

What could happen if I am losing oil pressure at idle?

best not if yu can - otherwise as little as poss.

try and get an oil pressure test done, just to be on the safe side.
