How easy is it to change both the Valve seals and Piston Rings

I did the vavle stem seals on the 200tdi not long ago, I took the head off. Get the green Elring ones that Turners sell. They are tight to fit, get a spare one or two incase you damage one fitting it. First time I have done it and damaged one of the new seals.

Freelander 2 (LR2) Is it worth it?

Or the other option is leave it if it's only cosmetic. Doubt anyone will warranty rust work, probably come back or elsewhere on the body.

    Dodgy?

So, I reported it again online and got a reply saying it checks out electronically, well of course it does! So I rang them up and explained all the differences between a TD5 and a TDI. I also pointed out that of course it checks out electronically, hardly going to put a plate on a TD5 with a...

Tyres wearing unevenly:- Axle ends out of alignment

That explains why you wanted to change it. I find the rear drums are quite good if adjusted correctly.

Tyres wearing unevenly:- Axle ends out of alignment

Axle casing must be less than a pair of good tyres? Though to be honest I haven't looked. Still got your original axle?

There is a byway which goes through a farm and leads upto Stonehenge, the woman there is a proper loon. She blocked our way once and stood there swearing and waving a big stick. She even admitted we were doing nothing wrong, eventually giving up with the discussion. My wife was there with us...

    CHASSIS? 2

Think you would be better off painting the chassis, then spray inside with a cavity wax of your choice. Some people leave the chassis bare and don't paint it at all. Certain process to follow when painting a galv chassis. I have never used Lanogaurd, some people like it, others don't.

    Wiring under cubby box

I have a cubby box in my TD5, put a couple of wooden battens under the cubby box. Lifts it up to a better height and clears the OBD socket.

I have often used the website to plan greenlane trips, it's handy to find the locations. Google Street View is also good, often a video can be found on YouTube also. Let us know how you get on.

Give it a rest, you know what I mean. Byways get closed far more often than normal roads, more often than not there is no signs to tell you they have been closed. I was pointing out, in a helpful way, to the OP that an out of date website isn't the best way to check if a Ford is legal to drive.

Only if its on a road. The website is out of date with regards to some byways.

2.5TD where to mount center exhaust bracket

Interesting. My son's 200tdi has no bracket at the front, just the one at the rear of the centre section and one at the tail pipe.
