    AC belt 2002 Td4-urgent

Being at 130km from home, the mechanic took an instant delivery pulley, forgot name, told me is a reputable pulley maker. He wants to finish today, so I can get the car tomorrow morning. Anyway, a new part would last at least half the life of original (22years and 230k km). Other thing. He told...

    AC belt 2002 Td4-urgent

Hi guys, I guess is a new one: Stopped at a gas station and a second before turning key off a slap/bang sound from the engine. AC belt is off, the big one still on pulleys. I'm on a trip, got the train now, but have to return in the after noon. If some kind soul encountered this, would it...

Help 😪 this thing is driving me mad 😆

Drop links can be put vice versa. I had mine reversed (left on the right side) and mechanic put the new ones reversed also. And they can touch the shock on one side if the swing bar is sliding sideways (worn bushes). Third time were put as they should, the swing bar bushes changed and no touch.

    IRD REMOVAL AND TURBO WORRIES

If I get it right, you are concerned with a bad turbo needing another ird removal to fix. Worry not then, the turbo can be removed with the ird on. I did it twice.

Sorry for disturbing your peace. I was wrong (was I?)

    insa turbo tyres

Revollution per mile depends only on actual radius, axle-ground.

    insa turbo tyres

Well, allow me an extreme example: big truck before the tunnel / bridge. 2 inch more height, can not go in. Sollution: deflate tyres, lower height (from ground, of course), get the job done. So, tyres actually are like party baloons, but in a tighter threshold and they hold the car upper or...

    insa turbo tyres

The reference is the axle-earth distance. You need rear diameter bigger or equal to front. Bigger psi means bigger diameter, as you mentioned. This is not about tyre specs, is about geometry and phisics. So, at least in a hurry, pump more, free your mind, protect IRD.

I asked in the past, you can compensate wear by pumping 01-02 bar in the rear. I do that and seems ok.

Question on the Glowplug light (FL1 TD4)

Mine do not light at all, but starts ok (-3, -5 deg C). I'm waiting for lower temps.

    Tail gate lock FL1

I have the same problem, everyting works except door won't click open with the others when remote actioned. Window goes down less than normal at handle action, then goes up again. Moment's solution, all luggage goes over the rear seats..
