Hello boys & girls !!!

Just finished singing up for this little gem so another fresh out the box newbie here BUT one that knows how to use the search facility :p & given I used to work for land rover know a bit about not allot lol !!!!

I was the passenger in Elliott's (Disco147) standard green 300tdi Disco on Salisbury Plain last week & I must say what a cracking day ! People were really nice very open & warm (especially 'Wiltshire Landyman' & 'Vagrant') to fairly wet behind the ear newbies, although I know Ell has been on here a little while now.

I, as I said on the day, am in the market for a landie myself & am currently looking for a nice 110 (thinking 200tdi) for up to about £4k... I realise this isnt a great deal of money to be buying a defender with but I should, fingers crossed, after that have around £2k left from the sale of my current car so some money there to fix small problems & mod ;)

I was going to leave it until after purchasing the 110 to register on here but as im here doing the newbie search for defender buying guides etc thought I may as well sign up now. Having had a we read im feeling a bit more prepared to hopefully go & view a potential prospect next Sunday & not buy a right ****ter lol... However all advice is definitely more then welcome & if anyone knows of a cheap place to get the 'You & Your Defender' book that'd be a big help !

That's all lol,

Doug.
