Ok I have a LT 77 lined up has anyone stuck a series transfer box onto a lt 77 if so how did it go,straight forward enough or do you need any special bits making does the output shaft of t he box match the input of the transfer box etc any helpplease

hi all i fitted a 19j 2.5td into my series but my 4 speed box has let go now and im thinking of putting a lt77 from a defender in. fitting is not a problem but do i need to match the box up with defender diffs or will it run ok on series diffs with the ratios and all cheers for any help

sorry to butt in but will the disco box fit straight onto my 19j turbo in a series i know i have to make new props if not how much for the complete lt77 nathan 1992 cos my 4 speed series box has just let go cheers

Cheers mate but again overdrives have gone through the roof but it looks like the options are a short lt77 or r380 i was just hoping someone had matched something obscure at some point and found it worked

hello mate ,the conversion is pretty straight forward ,the bell housings match but you need the clutch plate from your series and the clutch backing plate from the 19j engine (plate to fit your input shaft from gearbox and backing plate to match holes in flywheel and keep it balanced),chop off...
