im having problems with the td5 , did start for a while then died again , , checked earths etc now going to check out ecu's , if l try a discovery ecu will l need to remap this before it will work. if an ecu is disconnected from the loom for a certain length of time will it need reprogrammed again

how do you test a crank sensor to show its working , not sure what tester the garage used

problem stopped and started 3 times , then went for a while , evently stopped 2 weeks later started agian for 5mins then never went since tried new harness checked fuel pressure checked ecu for oil contamination cleaned earth points approx 6 , is there any more to clean checked...
