    Dual fuel tank

Biggest danger with a separate electric pump is forgetting it on and have diesel **** out of your main tank...... "Never happen to me, ever, .....promise" Or even worse..... Your breather in your fuel cap can only breathe so much..... And you pop your fuel tank....

    Help! manuals for V8

Thanks stopover I put my hand over the air filter intake today while she was idling and she just carried on idling!! So I suppose I do have an air leak.... Where would the air leak create the hunting idle though? After the air flow meter ? After the throttle control? Can the plenum box be leaking?

    Help! manuals for V8

Hello all I have bought a 1983 110 which had a V8 fitted to it in the 80/90's from the engine number 24D......... I have figured out that it is a early range rover injection 3,5 motor. it has the following setup the black drum shaped air filter, Lucas 2 AM flapper airflow sensor...

    110 V8 (think 3.9 Efi)

I would like to introduce myself.... ok so before you all start laughing about my thread title I need to tell the story. my first vehicle was a 101 land rover with the old low compression military V8 and I loved the vehicle, sadly I had to sell it as it was not financially viable to run at...

    TD5 governer/limiter

Helloooo....anybody out there......who knows how to govern/limit a TD5 to a certain speed??? come on......all you LR wizards......

    TD5 governer/limiter

Cause I have a fleet of 11 TD5's, 9 0f which are 150 Inch Gameviewers (open vehicles designed for photographic safaris), 1 of which is a 143 double cab with full size second doors and full size hi-cap bin, 1 of which is a standard 127 doublecab......ALL of which get driven by employees with...

Roof racks and weight and stuff

Most overload their roofracks horribly, but if you keep your rack mountings tight and keep an eye on the gutters and front of the roof then it should be ok. A few centimeters behind the windscreen they tend to crack out one of the spot welds, can be fixed by just drilling it out and putting a...

    TD5 Defender loss of power

Check the pipe after the turbo and before the intercooler, sometimes they delaminate and the inside layer comes out and blocks the intercooler, can only identify when the pipe is in the hand being twisted and bent. otherwise just a turbo pipe which has come off.

    TD5 governer/limiter

Greetings all, Any ideas if I can limit/govern my TD5's to say 110kph? do I need to buy an expensive chip or can it be programmed by a LR dealer?? Thanks Heiko

    TD5 power loss

Definately sounds like an air flow sensor, what I have also had is the plug on top of your air pipe just after the filter.....the wires break (thick reddish/brown one) off inside the insulation just behind the plug when the LR (d)stealers manhandle the plug off for service, fixed it in the bush...

Defender diff crown gear bolts breaking

HELP!! I have had 2 of my defender diff crown bolts breaking, once on the front axle and then on another vehicle on the rear axle.....is this a known problem with defenders (both the vehicles have the salisbury rear axle, so pre-2003 models). I think it is my bloody landrover workshop not...

Roof racks and weight and stuff

We run double shocks and stab bars on all our rear axles and it makes a big difference to the handling of the vehicle, our vehicles are quite heavy though (150" wheelbase) so maybe double shocks on a 90 will beat the crap out of you.
