Cause I have a fleet of 11 TD5's, 9 0f which are 150 Inch Gameviewers (open vehicles designed for photographic safaris), 1 of which is a 143 double cab with full size second doors and full size hi-cap bin, 1 of which is a standard 127 doublecab......ALL of which get driven by employees with paying clients on board......hence the need to keep the speed down......does anybody know how to govern the TD5?????
i doubt yer can govern road speed cheaply or easily, you could limit engine revs by altering the throttle setting or sticking a bolt throught the floor under the pedal. or get a local to run along in front waving a red flag
why do you use a cheeper option an put a adjustable bolt under the throttle peddle.
on one of your vehicle find out on the road what 110KPH reads on the tacho as what RPM let say 2200 RPM
get the first vehicle back in the drill the floor install a bolt somthing 10cm long and adjust it as a stop run you motor so that the peddle wont get the engine to run higher than the example 2200RPM lock all the bolts up and tack it with a welder to stop it being tampered with (if you dont trust your staff)
as kids my dad used to do it with out series II to stop us racing around
failing that speak with your local LR dealer iam sure they can mess around with the electronics to achive the same effect
