I have one, a 110 SW, very happy with it, the new anti-stall feature does not seem to do anything special and it is happiest at about 60-65 on the highway and about 22 mpg overall, same as always. Solid as a mercedes the first month and then the creaks and groans start to come in as the bodywork...

Thanks to the folks at Defender2 forum; 2.2 and 2.4 Puma use identical filters, LR030778 is same for both.

That is incorrect, changing the oil early (with the correct oil and filter type) does not invalidate the LR warranty as long as the factory scheduled service intervals are also followed and documented.

Actually you got this wrong, if I wanted to "skin a fart" I'd wait until 20k to change the oil wouldn't I?

1st dealer scheduled service is at 20000 km, (and you have to pay for the service). I don't think 20k oil changes are sufficient, especially the first one, so I was going to do this one myself at 7k. Oil change is an easy task and I can do it for much less than the dealer asks....if I can find...

I have a 2012 110 SW with the 2.2 and I have no complaints. As it is new I only have 1000 km on it but so far it runs like a champ. It is a bit diesels sounding like a truck/lorry but it fits the character of the defender.

Do you have limos in the UK?

Any drawbacks going commercial, ie places you can't drive/park, special license required or otherwise?

They are in Italy for the last 2 years, I believe because they don't meet EU pedestrian impact standards. I bought my 110 as a commercial, not sure what drawbacks there might be to it, if any.

It seems that sway bars are optional on late model 90 Defenders and standard on 110s. Is this correct?

Have not seen these offered before from the factory; Xenon lights (auto-level, or without) and LED taillights on Land Rover's website. Look like they can bolt on to any recent vintage Defender. Bet they are pricy though.....
