thanks for the info guys Just to update this thread, biolandy was right the pump had sucked air up I took the banjo off top of the pump bleed the system with the lift pump fitted it all back together after heating the cooper washers up and its run fine ever since it had 20liters of veg...

hi mate thanks for the info I've removed banjo off top of the pump and pumped the lift pump into a tub after about 2mins i had over a mug full and no air bubbles coming to the surface so dont think its sucking air up. good idea tho and it was worth a look any info on pump change still...

i would of thought if its anything like vaxuhall it will just need activating via the fancy machine what ever it is land rover call it this mite be something that your dealer can do. at a price of course I think its highly unlikely that they would install the lights and no loom to go to them...

depends on how you drive in my 300tdi i get about 28mpg mix of 3 and 12 mile runs with mixed driving i'm guessing a td5 should be better

as every1 has said above dump valves dont even work on modern common rail 200bhp diesels so it wont work on a tractor engine it will do alot more harm than good
