    P38A Wet headlining

Hi I have a similar problem but the drain in the problematic corner is clear (as tested with a watering can - good flow at the wheel arch) so I suspect the drain tube has either split or is not well connected. Before I go further does anyone know the size (internal diameter) of the drain tubing...

    O-Ring Change in Photos

Druim - thanks very much for the write-up I did the o-rings today and really aprpeciated your virtual help, worked like a dream. For those planning on doing this I used a 450 mm (crosshead) screwdriver, part of a 3-pack set from Sealey their part AK4906, I don't know if it was a perfect fit on...

P38A had enough. .p38 diesel engine

Had similar recently, changed two things and one or both fixed it - if EGR fitted check the flexible pipes (both of them) to make sure they are intact. Check the fuel tank pump and be prepare to fit a new one (think Whammers edited a how to test piece on here)

10w40 oil at good price (imho)

Hi A quick heads up for P38 diesels and maybe others - our local Euro Car Parts shop (Rochester) is selling 20L of Triple QX 10w40 semi-syntheic oil for £28.99 which imho is a pretty good price. I am not sure how widespread within the ECP chain this offer is available as it does not appear on...

    P38A Bleeding the coolant

Not something I have ever bothered with. Flow to the expansion tank is usually confirmed when I start the engine and run it for a few minutes.

P38 in tank fuel pump replacement pictures measurements

Hi Doe anyone have a copy of the picture that Canyon put on the old Landyzone site which detail the measurements and cut positions to enable replacement of the in tank fuel pump from inside the vehicle? Failing that the measurements themeselves would be helpful. I pm'ed Canyon a few days ago...

How do I get rid of poster details?

the revision results in all the vital details of a poster being displayed on the left hand side. Might be ok on a pic screen but on an iPad it results in a massive waste of space in the message area especially if the poster only adds a short message. Results in less messages per screen.. Not good

    P38 diesel Burst Radiator

To tidy this up, the one that split was a Nissens which had been in 2 years 3 months (when I checked the paper-work). Ordered genuine this time along with a genuine thermostat and a new header tank cap, all from Island 4x4. Hopefully this one will last longer...

    P38 diesel Burst Radiator

So is the view still that genuine rads are better? My cheaper one has just failed after about 18 months and I see that Island now offer both genuine and Britpart / Nissen patten ones. I think I know the answer but thought I would ask before spending £

P38 auto oil change problem help please

I would suggest one tweak to the routine suggested by Wammers: check that you can undo the filler plug before you undo the drain... Long story but I once drained a gearbox only to find that the filler plug was well and truly fixed and rounded by the previous owner... a simple job turned into an...
