LOL - yes i did start to look for an old spanner to hack but could only find an open end which probably wouldnt help. Ill have to pick one up. Maybe ill just change them anyhow if they are that cheap. Its odd though that it only happens when the engine is hot - not sure what that is telling me...

I did check the diaphrams fett and they were ok - or at least they looked it. Can they go pourous or do they usually split/perish. I started to take the carbs of today but it seems you need to be a magician to get to the one nut off... then it started to rain so i gave up. :(
