Just an update fellas, had the car booked in for complete diagnostics as it had gone from bad to worse, but 3 days before the day it decided enough was enough and it completely locked me out whilst i was trying to get home from work, to make matters worse the mechanics of door lock also failed...

Thanks Roddy 4, Yea tried 2 doses of injector cleaner (Redex) No fuel leaks that i can find. Just had fault read and it comes up with 136 Fuel Quantity Control Just as an extra note going to work today it ran like a dog, chugged most of the way there,, even on acceleration. Wondered...

Thanks boys, just as a point of interest, i had i on a friends diagnostic today (Snap On Solus Pro Scanner) and it showed up fault... 136 Fuel Quantity Control..... Any clue on that, Will change filter and have a look at MAF sensor as sugested in mean time. Cheers Phil

Hi guys, would appreciate pointing in the right direction on this, 2001 auto range has started to be really lumpy on tick over, Started a few weeks ago, changed to a tank full of Shell and a dose of injector cleaner and half a tank later seemed much better for a few days (30 miles a day approx)...
