    Front Diff issues ?!!

Good morning & what a glorious one it is ! I have tried to budge the viscous coupling, 1st with a decent wrench then with a 2 foot bar on the end, NOTHING ! It will not budge at all, so i am guessing the VCU is pooped ! I am hoping that this is the only issue, no debris in the diff either ...

Do you mean the one where you raise 1 front wheel then try and turn the other & check for resistance ?

    Front Diff issues ?!!

Ok so front Prop shaft off, went for a spin. No noises or rumbling any more. Do i take it that the Viscous coupling has failed again or could it still be the front diff rumbling under load ? Wheels did not try to lock during a full circle on full lock. To me this is pointing at the Viscous...

    Rear boot lock botton failed

Fuse 15 was ok. I locked the car, went back shortly after, unlocked with the fob, tried the boot again & it now works ?? Confused. Could this issue be linked to my front drivers door issues ? Thanks

    Rear boot lock botton failed

Ok great, now i have fixed the button & checked continuity between the 2 pins with the button depressed, all good. Now when i have put the button back onto the car-nothing. Even connecting the points in the plug that goes onto the button unit does nothing. LOST AGAIN.

    Rear boot lock botton failed

Did that but with the boot shut they are really hard to get to. Managed to get a 2 pence in there to turn them but still did not have enough movement of the panel downwards to be able to remove it without damaging it. Any way with as little damage as possible it is out, boot lock spring is...

    Rear boot lock botton failed

I will try that, can the lock be taken apart & repaired ? I am guessing by you saying "replace the spring" it can be repaired ? I know lots of units such as this are pretty much "throw away" and once inop cannot be repaired, do these locks come apart easily ? Thank you

    Rear boot lock botton failed

Morning world, i have an issue with my boot lock button on my 2000 P38. Initially it was stiff and once pushed in to firstly unlock the upper tailgate, it stuck in meaning i had to use a screw driver to work it back out again. A little WD40 sorted this for a while, now it has failed totally and...
