    Well, the change over unit is on and running for about a week,and Lordy,Lordy....no oil leaks YET! As i have said previously, I cant find out what was replaced,the only visible sign of entry is the new grub screws that are tapped and placed around the casing.We can but hope,Regards.......AL

    Yea,G,Day Jim.We had thought of your suggestion,also the collusion between LR and Wabco(perish the thought) Will try and find a substitute one way or another.BTW what is the worst scenario if we keep driving the vehicle as is? Run out of brakes etc.etc. .........AL`

    We have a 1996 LandRover TDI.The vacuum bump on the block is leaking oil again.This will be the second time i have replaced it in 180000 Miles.The unit costs about $4oo Aus.Is there any way of repairing this unit,or do i trek off to bendix westinghouse and part with my hard earned dosh...

    For what its worth,our 1996 tdi although far from reliable still has great MPG.In the region of 30 to 32 mpg,or about 11 k's to a litre in Aus...Regards Al
