Thanks for the info, looks like it,s a new compressor. A few people have told me that the bags are u/s after 5/6 years so could be a costly fix.

I have got exactly the same problem as you. I have had a diagnostic bloke out today and he says that the laptop tels him its a compressor fault ?? Have you had any luck to date ??? need to know soon as im in the shed at the moment looking for the sledge hammer !!!

Had simular problem with my TD5 completly gutless at low reves had to change down to go up hill. Changed the air flow meter (MAF) for a genuine LR one. BIG difference !! Now pulls well at low revs and holds power up hill. ????

On a long run this week my td 5 developed a misfire. It seems to come and go. Sometimes if i turm it off and then restart the misfire will go for a while then it comes back . Drove for an hour today with no problem then it just started to misfire again !!! Any advice here

My TD5 seems to be very slow accelerating from a standing start. Once above 30 mph it seems fine ! . I have been told this could be an air flow meter problem ( common fault) ??? Any ideas ???

Check first that fuel pump primes fuel rail when power is switched on. This is a must. Best suggestion as before get a good working car alongside yours and swap bits untill yours runs ok. From previous problems i find this is the best way.

thanks everyone for the replys so far. However we have 2 discos, both commercial one P reg (mine) and 1 R reg (belongs to my old man). Both discos have developed the same fault (the R reg first) Neither car has had any work done to the wiring, but what i have noticed this week mine only seems...

i know exactly which relay is which ! Eventually i pulled all the relays out together. Lights still stay on !!!!!!!!!!!

The headlights on my disco are staying on. Even when i pull the relay below the dash passenger footwell they still stay on. Any suggestions ??
