Hi folks, got a problem with the td5 disco. Quite often, maybe 50% of the time, the disco goes into limp home mode (auto gearbox) when i start up or shortly afterwards. By this i mean 2 green lights flash at the bottom of dashboard and the box locks in 3rd gear. The only way i seem to get it out...

It will still have an air leak somewhere. Could be on a connection where the pipe goes to the air spring, on the valve block, in the valve block or a hole in a pipe. Try spraying soapy water over all the connections and pipes . Leaks show up as bubbling. Also don't rule out a faulty new air...

Also just had same problem. Leak can be from valve block, pipes, air bags. Mine was air bag. Bought a couple of Dunlop bags off Paddocks at special online price and fitted myself. Pretty easy if you're any good at diy and have a decent trolley jack. Steve.

Considering the options i went for enlarging the hole . Only needed about 3mm filing out on the side of the hole and rotating the sensor body to raise the height by nearly 30mm from floor to wheel arch. Used a chain saw file. Brilliant. Thanks for all your help, Steve.

You could be right,I'll blow 'em out with the compressor. I've had sunroof drain prob's on a previous 300tdi but that time it just caused a damp roof lining.Anyway, i'll give it a go.Cheers.

Update. Thanks for all the advice . Reconnected the battery this morning and everthing works perfectly. Hopefully that's an end to it and i can only suppose that damp had upset the electrics. Did notice the fuse box under the steering wheel had a very small amount of damp in it. Could this be...
