I know older engines tend to run on it easier, but is there anything in the way of modifications I should do before running on bio? I've looked into making my own before but the initial costs seem pretty high

Is that necessary? I don't know about the mainland but in NI MOT doesn't test for emissions on diesels? Have had plenty of cars pass with no cat before, even most well maintained petrols will pass the emissions with a decat.

God I love forums.. Have this exact same problem.. was fine before I let it sit up for two weeks in the cold but since I took it out today its started doing this. Will check out the discs in the morning :)
