Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows how many miles you can drive when the light comes on ?

I Have a 3.9 V8 Discovery and on long runs (70 miles) it starts overheating...water boiling up and wanting to escape out of the header tank, i'm sure the head gaskets are fine can anybody help ? i think it might be the Thermostat ?

Hi, its a V8 Discovery, it overheats after about 60 miles,not loosing water until its boiling and trying to escape out of the header tank. most peoples immediate reaction is head gasket gone but i'm not loosing water,no signs in the oil,no white sludge under cap, this only started to happen...

Hello James, its a V8 Discovery, i had a leak from one of the engine core plugs so i put Kseal in the header tank and it sorted it, then i was doing a 100 mile trip and it started overheating and blowing water out of the header tank. it seems the viscous fan isn't working and i don.t know...

I have 3.9 V8 Disco which runs Great except on journeys over 50 miles when the engine starts overheating, it seems the viscous fan is not working and i only started having this problem after putting some k seal in it to stop a leaking core plug.....is this a coincidence ? can anyone help ?
