I have a pair of these diffs that you can have for a lot less than 100 quid. Where abouts are you?

As 79 and Fatrover say it may be fuel starvation. I had very similar symptoms to you and replaced all electrical bits and overhauled the carb before finding the in line filter full of sludge.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Its a high pitch rattle rather than any serious vibration. Its started since I put parabolic springs on the front. Rears have been on for weeks.

My 1980 2.25 petrol 88 has developed a tinny rattle which is really noisy now. Something must be due to fall off v soon. I've had a good look and can't find anything loose. It only makes the noise when its moving and I ease off the gas, so I can't trace it when I've stopped. It seems to be...

I have a few holes and loose outriggers on my 1980 chassis and am contemplating patching them up using an old arc welder that I have in my loft. Is this a good idea, or do you think it might be a bit fierce for the job? I don't want to make the holes any bigger!

I've got a hole in the floor of the passenger footwell about the size of a 2 pence piece. Will this be an MOT failure point? If it is, can I cover it up with a bolt and a couple of big washers?

Has anybody got any experience of GME parabolic springs? Island 4X4 are selling a full set on Ebay with all bushes, shackle bolts and U bolts, including VAT and delivery for 206 quid. So they're not much more than Paddock's, and the rear ones are propper 3 leaf springs as opposed to 2 leaf...
