i doubt that the transfere box is shot,
change the oils on the gear ans transfer box, itll give you some insight as to the condition inside
then get back to us
the usual for what you got is the uj's on the props, or if the vehical has been lifter the pinion angles change and cause all horrible...
u didnt need to get a intercooler 4 that !!
all u needed to do is turn the fuel pump up abit and turn the boost up on the turbo !
thats all i did with mine until i fitted some new 35 inch rubber (simex)
then i needed a bigger intercooler

3 days ago i got pulled in by police cuz of black smoke
after all me pumps turned up, boost on max and bigger intercooler...= a hell of alot of black smoke
hence my tdi signiture

yup fit a bigger intercooler....you get a s*** load of o power and low down grunt
iv got me pump turned up, full width intercooler, and turbo running at 1.1 bar pressure and it goes like stink and outperforms v8's :D
used to blow diffs with it until fitted arb's
currently its pumping out 154...
v8 disco series 2 are mint jarrod
the engine are good as gold, no problems with them
they a bit thirsty but get it gassed and itll be cheap as chips, loads of grunt, lovely sound and pure luxury

u got i wiering diagram ?? as td5s are a maze...youll be better off with a wiering diagram then you can see whats what

their is nuffing wrong with the 300tdi !! take it from me look after it and itll give no problems...check the viscous fan regular and keep an eye on that temp guage !! if it rises more than normal switch the bloody thing off !!
as for 200 tdi's they are the dogs as u sed jarrod mine pulls off...
most are timed on a relay, but some have a cut off switch so when it gets to a certain point it cuts the motor
take the doorcard off and have a look
o peel the plastic cover off aswel
