Does it really matter what flush you use, I suppose getting the oil right is the main concern. Having said that, I was going to use some Slick50 flush and noted it states for petrol engines or light duty diesel engines. Would the TD4 be classed as a light duty diesel engine....My guess is...

Quick update. I changed the pump....used a genuine Land Rover replacement though it was a used one, apparently came off a Freelander with just 23K on the clock. Anyhow, the problem is sorted, for now..:)

Thanks for that.....my £50 pump arrived today, tempted to just give it a go but really wanted a genuine one. Having said that they are renound for breaking so how good are the genuine ones really. I have used Walbro before and they make good pumps, wonder if they do one for the Freelander.
