I'm moving my fog lamp to a Mud console, however my haynes states 3 wires going into the switch, as there is, however the 3 I have are a different colour to the colours stated in the haynes manual, so I'm hoping someone can help, can anyone let me know which colour cable is power/earth/lamp feed...

Do the door hinge bolts that go into the bulk head screw into the bulkhead or is there a nut on the other side?

Crowman, I know the vehicle, I know the owner, why don't you go and view it if your so concerned? The owners knowledge on all things defender is very good so you may be made to feel a bit of a tw@, but you will after be able to appreciate the difference between a standard and a modified vehicle?

As the subject suggests, I'm putting some additional 12v sockets in the 90, is it best to wire them via a relay as my other stuff is of stright to the socket?

I'm going to make a wiring loom to move my hazard switch to my mud console, but I cant find out what rating each wire needs to be, there are several different gauges in the back of the switch? White/Green? Light Green/Brown? Light Green? Black/Red? Green/White? Green/Red? Black? Red/Orange...

I've got mine wired so they only show a reading when the ignition is on, and then its the batt voltage shown, I'll try and find my wiring diagram of how someone told me how to do it...

I've got a galv roof rack for my 90 and am going to paint it black, I was thinking Hammerite, anyone used anything else that has produced a good finish and durability? Clean it down and straight on with the black or prep it with something first??
