need some help plz am trying to find the torque settins for the head bolts on a 4.0 v8 discovery

u recon a shud get a sniff test done then

No thred was fine bolt was fine. turned it in by hand all the way first. very commfused to why it came loose but happy it was just that

had a look at motor and found a loose head bolt under rocker cover

havent had time to have a look yet but the tap nock gose away over 2500 rpm then let off and it comes back, dose it hot or cold

a cud rebuild a mitsi 2.5td lump ne botha but this looks complicated. will have a look during the week and c what a can find

Hard to say sounds like its coming from drivers side top, but then who knows, what are they like to strip down

70k its on a x 2000 year

plenty oil init no smoke didnt over heat didnt loose power or any thing was just sitn idleiing the started noking

cheers mate tried ma local landy place cheviot 4x4 and they cudnt find me 1 looks like its a trip ma pals work shop. how loud is loud like a chavy saxo with big bore on it cz a dont want that just want a nice barble

my first v8 was a 7.4 chevy lump in my boat an it sings with 4" pipes straight from the manifold and no silencers. next 1 is in the disco av just bought a week ago sounds nice but feeln a nice stainless system on it to give it a nice sound

its a tow car for ma off roader so it will get muddy wen a drive on the play site haha
