£13 spent on ebay for spanner, nice one, still a bit of a bitch of a job to get to filter though.
What do you know about the fuel filter on these beasts, like where is it and how hard is that?
Your nearly right about the oil for the fl2, it's 5w/30 but it is now manufacturer specific ie; Ford,Volkswagen etc, but you can get it from Halfords and their own brand, it meets all the requirements
Anybody changed the oil on an FL2 td4, where is the oil filter located and does it require any special tool?
Damned if I could find it and the only likely candidate I found I didn't have a spanner for and it was a **** to get to, had to put new oil in with old filter. bugger!
Oh and does anybody...
No it's definitely PANTS or BUST, tried resets to no avail. it don't ave a clue where in the hell it is and it co-ordinates read as zero no matter where I might be. Looks like I off to a dealer.
Found out how to do a software reset per user manual, not very clear it has to be said, and not very effective as it dosen't seam to have made any difference.;)
Just bought an HSE on the 06-plate, the built in sat nav is PANTS! unless you know other wise.
I've tried several times to program a route to a near bye destination, using street name and post code, but the dam things seems incapable of working out any route that makes sense.
Is it a duff unit...
What do you folk think of the auto model, how trouble some are they? Any common faults I should be aware of, although it's academic now cos I've just gone and bought the dam thing
looks like I'm going to do it all over again, just gone and bought another on an 06 plate. Spose it's the same engine, so should be able to do it, unless somebody knows differently!
Let me know what you think
Mark
Been running my freelndi 1 on the stuff since a few months ago, with no probs. Just remember to change your fuel filter after a couple of fills or about 500miles.:)
I think my TD4 may have an inline fuel filter (2003 model), can't see it where my haynes manual says it should be. Anybody know where the little fricker' hides on the freelander.
Filled it up with bio' today, bout 75% mix, see how it goes. Think my car has the inline fuel filter, anybody know where this is hiding on the TD4 2003 model, not where my Haynes manual says it should be, but that book only covers models up to 2002
