Just got a quote from my Garage. Its the Head Cylinder for the Hydraulic Clutch thats gone. Gonna be about £100 for me, so if you get it checked out before it knackers up the whole thing then it'll be cheaper for you :) Sam

I had this problem with my '01 XEi 3dr! Really made a horrible clunk when I made a hard left or went down a pothole or something. Turns out the whole rear left side of the chassis had come apart from the body, and it was welded back in place with no more clunking to be heard of :)
