    I'll go there tommorow and see if they can check it out! I'm ok at car mechanics, but rubbish at electrics!!! Do you think its a blown bulb for the battery indicator, that should be lighting due regardless of the alternator playing up, shouldn't it? Thanks again!

    It doesn't feel too bad when you put your foot down. I think Ill unplug the MAF tommorow and see if it gets better or worse. The miss is only really noticable at about 4-5k rpm, the idles a bit lumpy, but never feels like its going to stall. Could this all be linked to a dodgy alternator or 2...

    P38 Brake Caliper Carrier

    Just taken mine off too to replace broken drive shaft and crunched front diff! They were 19mm on mine, looked star headed but my Halford Pro 19mm 1/2" set undid them no problems and I can assure you they needed quite a bit of force to get them to budge!!!!

    Thanks for all your help. Got a complete diff overhaul kit (4 bearings and oil seal) from Ashcroft transmissions. Thanks for all the advice too, the input shaft wobbles about in the front diff so is definatley the culprit! Just need to get it all to bits now!

On closer inspection it appears that all the play is where the forward uj bolts onto the flange on the front axle, ie the play is not in the uj, but on the shaft that goes into the front axle!:eek: Does anybody know if this is an easy fix or tricky or is it a replacement...
