I will not buy a used car from wet and cold areas of the UK eg Wales NI and most of Scotland .They usually have been exposed to more water and salt, optimum areas are Cambridgeshire Northants etc.The coastal areas should of course be avoided.
I replaced my Disco 2 with a Mazda Tribute I have had no problems with it but is much smaller than the Disco. I am glad there is no ACE/Air suspension to chuck money at.
Just got rid of my Disco 2 I feel like a great weight has been taken off my back. No more ACE, flywheel, abs and fuel leak problems. It was a pleasant thing to drive but cost about as much as a helicopter in maintenance.
I have given up with autoglass and I booked with another outfit they came round and said we have no trims and drove off. I may start looking into doing this job myself.

Try unlocking from the inside and snatch the outside handle quickly I did this rather than brute force and it opened ,then wd40 then oil and all was ok.
