britpart fuel pump on 4.6 gems

I used the Britpart pump when I did mine, and have the exact same issues with the fuel gauge. Very slow to rise after filling up and never gets to full. But not had any actual fuelling issues since I fitted it about a month ago. But time will tell. Both pipes from fuel pump to fuel filter...

    P38 Petrol Leak near tank

Ended up getting a draper hand pump/syphon kit but had to get 3m of extra hose as it only came with 90cm which didn't even reach the tank. It was slow (really slow) but effective. Dropped the tank, the hardest thing was getting the hose between the filler neck and the tank off. Found the...

    P38 Petrol Leak near tank

That was my thought also, can see it makes sense while you have the tank out the first time to cut the access hatch. But the thought of cutting it when there could be a pool of fuel in the pump recess scares the hell out of me.

    Viscous Fan nut size

Evening all, I'm planning on doing the water pump in a couple of weeks, as well as replacing the rad and thermostat So I'll need to remove the viscous fan. Having read the threads on this it seems to be a bit of a pain, but one thing that isn't clear is the size of the spanner needed for the...

    Sump Removal/Refit

Sorry for all the questions How long should I wait after refitting the sump before refilling with oil and running, does the sealant need a length of time to go off? cheers James

    Sump Removal/Refit

Having a crisis of confidence Am I going to be able to do this on my drive with some axel stands. Will they give me enough clearance to get the sump out? Or should I just bite the bullet and get the local garage to do it? I can see refitting the sump being a real pain in the arse, using...

    Sump Removal/Refit

Had a bit of a mare with an oil change over the weekend, feels/looks like the sump plug thread is on it's last legs. Have managed to get hold of a replacement sump for next to nothing, rather than going down the helicoil route. I have a couple of questions though 1. Rave makes the removal...

Have I been a prat with the EAS?

All seems fine now, although I'm a bit concerned so I'll probably do a compressor refurb in the next couple of weeks, just to be on the safe side. (Anybody got a good source for a compressor refurb kit?) I've soapy water tested all the bags and the new rear bags bubble a tiny bit around the...

Have I been a prat with the EAS?

Well the update this morning, I fired the girl up, and the height indicator lights showed the same behaviour. So I took it for a 2 minute spin round the block, and to my relief half way round it all cleared and normal service was resumed, all heights selectable.:) Its now been sat at off...

Have I been a prat with the EAS?

Evening all, I've Just spent 2 out of the last 3 days changing the air bags and dampers all round, in between dodging the rain. Backs went fine on the first day, though I think one of the collets has a slight leak but nothing too bad, as only slight foaming bubbles when the soapy water test...

Time to throw some money at the old girl

After a relatively hassle free time with the old girl (95 4.6 HSE) over the last couple of years, other than a scare to do with a coolant leak, seized rear brake pads and the countless other issues I had conveniently forgotten about:eek: Its time to address some of the MOT advisories that have...
