I can see what u r saying but, i know that there are badc engines, i guess that it depends on maintenance and the driver. i want to get general idea on the life expectancy of that engine. I do not want that engine to run for ever, and what i do want to do is to slowly change most of the things...

what would be the milege to be worried about? i mean i know its not going to be 20 000 but is over 120 000 too bad, or can i expect some time without major repairs on the engine?

So here we are, I have had an offer today from the insurrers of £4000 so i am well happy with that. Havent found out about the cost of that salvage, will try hard tommorrow. Cheers everyone.

Hi there, I am from wilmslow cheshire. Well i guess that i will be looking for new one. The insurance company will not insure a write off anyway, and i think i may have a problem insuring it alswhere as well.

Yes i can immagine how they would like to mislead u so they make life easy for themselves.

Just to explain, there wasnt a verdict over the vehicle from the insurers yet, but with the cost of repair of 8000 it is total loss. I want for the truck to be taken to LR specialist in Bollington, Macclesfield as i cant see that damage to cost 8000 to repair. However i have spoken to insurers...
