The old one wouldn't eject the disk and if I sat in the car after locking it up I could here the drive ticking over... I assumed that was the issue. The new drive ejects fine, but still power drain...
My investigation continues... :/
I've been having a nightmare with power issue on my L322!
Finally worked out it must be the DVD sat nav drive...
Disconnected said device and hey presto, no power drain since!
Managed to source a new drive, thinking it must be the unit... Plugged it in yesterday... Battery dead...

i have however noticed my cd changer and sat nav constantly doing something even with the engine...
surely its the right key? the remote works and obviously starts the vehicle
nothing moves when i turn it plus there is barely any resistance! clueless!
Something ive never bothered to try out until i started having battery drain issues!
My key for the car does not unlock the door(s) when i physically insert it into the drivers side lock :confused:
any ideas what is causing this and maybe how i can sort it?

The main question i have is if i fit it myself will it affect the mileage etc of my vehicle?
