Series Steering Wheel on a Defender

Right! That's a great shout, finding wheel + steering column and swapping the lot over isn't something I'd thought of but definitely opens up the project. Am trying to get a solid material wheel as the current c. 1995 wheel is just too flappy and disconnected feeling as the rubber's coming off...

Series Steering Wheel on a Defender

Highly likely, it's new to me but a nut & bolt rebuild on a galvanised Richards chassis. Has a series 2a fuel collar and cap. Have just removed the steps and there were 4 different styles of bolt nyloc'd in place so I imagine it's kind of a bitser.

Series Steering Wheel on a Defender

Anyone tried this or am I out my tree? Steering wheel on my Hi Cap (1995 300tdi) is pretty worn down and I'd like to swap in a Series wheel. Now, I haven't ordered the Series wheel or taken off the Defender wheel. I know it's a "large column diameter B type 48 spline" but I can't find like...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Let out the steering stop bolts to solve the "Insa Turbo rubbing on the radius arm when in full lock" situation, noted they were pretty old and worn so ordered a pair of SS M12s... ...In five different lengths in case the situation is more severe than current bolt length can tolerate

    Exhaust Swap

Thank you all! I have ordered the replacement bits & bolts off of eBay and Paddock's, will be doing the work myself - When the time comes for stainless I will have already done an exhaust swap so will be aware of any pitfalls. Hi Cap has a 2" lift so not hard to get underneath. Thanks again!

Nope tore the whole front right hand side wheel armature clean off the chassis, chopped up on the verge and delivered straight to Pandarosa!

    Exhaust Swap

Hello All! Drove a 300tdi Hi Cap 110 up from Dundee yesterday, about 100 miles. Bought it off of some tree surgeons on a muddy back road, and didn't get a chance to check underneath. This morning I got under there and there's a big hole in the mid box of the exhaust, right across the "Britpart"...
