Ah Dave, a Landy owner and biker, cheers mate!! It is the mechanics suggestion that the engine is on its way out, the reasons he gave me are 1. The engine breather is allowing oil throught the air-intake, thru the turbo and intercooler, thru what used to be the egr back into the engine...

Hi All Is it normal to use a bit of water, about a litre a tank of diesel (td5). I have a mate with a defender (tdi) who also needs to keep an eye on his water level. Peter

The machanic i sent the car to has said that he can sort the problem by removing a clamp on the unit and then the plastic inlet piece (which the water pipe fits to) and insert a new o-ring rubber. Is he on drugs?? It looks feasable, a a diesel cooler costs R7000-00 (437 pounds) so i kinda hope...
