Kds makes a good point there, I was advised to do the same, went through each module in turn and erased any codes present. Look at your live data as well, see if the lift function is triggering the valves or not.

When I cleared the codes they didn't come back, nothing was displayed, but I kept selecting erase codes, and the compressor kept firing up. After repeating this about 20 times the car rose up several inches, and the compressor cut in and out as it should. Don't know why, when there were no...

Your compressor sounds better than mine, but id imagine your pressure is still a bit low, look at the live data and see if any of the valves are operating. Mine had the same fault logged, except it was for the rear, and my compressor wouldn't operate. I just kept deleting the codes over and over...
