    P38A 2.5 DSE Vs DT

What are the main differences between the P38 2.5 DSE and the P38 2.5 DT? I have heard different things from different people: IE one has a sunroof, one comes with fog lights, one has electric seats etc, some say there are differences within the engine bay and some mention that they were...

Could it have been caused when the mech re-wired the module for the window switch he fitted to by pass said module? He did blow a fuse TWICE when he was doing it!

Well the plot thinkers. Just tried with the other key and in position 1 all the dashboard lights came on nice and strong as they do, but when I turned it to position 2... as dim as heck. She still started to click In position 3 though. Also this time for time she wouldn't lock with the fob and...

Ah! Now that does seem to make a bit of sense. I guess that the only way in knowing is by removing the head? Or is there a kinder way in finding out?

What is that? I did notice a big drop in power a few seconds before pulling over due to the temp dial sky rocketing. After filling the coolant system she was back to herself and pulling great.

Wammers, please re read: The FOB in itself is ok. This no-starting started the other day after having had to pull over sharpish due to an air-lock in the coolant system. About 2 hours later when I went to fire her up... ...click click click. Now either by luck or something else I got her...

I do not seem to be able to wake the beast up. I turn the key and all I get is a clicking sound and a very quick message flash bye saying Motor Disabled!? Also I noticed that the locking button on the key would not lock the doors etc, but the key can still unlock. On top of that, even by...

Silly question, by the video above, is that "bleeding" off the air in the rad system?

    P38A Coolant

Well just bled the system and a heck of a load of air farted out. Now to see if that sorted it or not. Hope so. Thanks for the guidance.

@stustrong All seems to be in good nick. I had some work on the head ( the two tubes for the in and out hoses) and since then she has been needing topping up rather often. I have been wondering if there is an air block within the system. With the way the mechs are over here, finding certain...

    P38A Coolant

Considering the coolant system takes just over 11lt of liquid, would a lack of around 2.5lt be enough to send her into the red zone? I'm saying 2.5lt as that is what I used to top her up once she had cooled down enough. She overheated with less than 2.5lt missing as she chucked quite a drop out...

Ooops, me bad! I should have pointed out that my P38 is a 2.5DSE. With that in mind, will what you said do for it?

Apart from flushing the system, how do you know when you've got an air blockage and how do you go about clearing it?

Just came across this new video which I thought rather interesting. Just a pity it's in Russian, but saying that, it's easy enough to follow:

    P38A Jump Lead Connectors

More or less. I want to make about a 3m extension, hence wanting to know where I might be able to get my hands on another set of these connectors. It would be a lot kinder on the wallet. These connectors seem to be up to scratch too.
