Got the piston out, bit tight but no scoring. Con-rod is bent but although big end bearing is showing the copper no visible damage to crank. Need to source a new shell set & con-rod. The turbo on my 300 tdi failed & the debris bent a con-rod. No visible marks on the head or piston but the con-rod has a slight bend. Can the piston & con-rod on a 300tdi normally be removed by sliding up the bore or does it need to go downwards? Thanks John.
