Thanks for the mention Ollie. Blog's still new - but growing! :) Michelle (the LandyChick)

    Home made rocksliders

Those look really great! Got a couple home-mades too thanks to my Resident Expert on my S3 truck - we galvanized them, then added reflective tape. Here's what they look like. Fitted Bling added.

    South African Landy Owners

Yup, it's humming along quietly, posting my location and any strange events to the internet constantly. Last weekend we did a quick run to Cape Town to see a friend, came home late, and were informed by SMS that the vehicle had been started outside designated driving times and may be stolen...

And a good morning to you too! Hell - it's always a good morning when you get to drive a Landy...

    South African Landy Owners

Thanks very muchly! :) I've written recently for the Land Rover Monthly mag in the UK - Olivia the S3 featured in Jan, Feb & March. But a book? Hmmm...I'll simply have to go travel for a few years and find fodder!

    Series III across Africa

Mine did it! :D Granted, before I had her... but she did it. 9 months, 1976 S3, from CTown to Sudan and back. And all without a fridge or even a coolerbox.

    Got myself a Series 3

That popping/farting? Burnt exhaust valve/s. Same thing on mine. Better sorted sooner rather than later.

What better way to get to know a Landy owner than to show where you've been and what you've done? That's not advertising - it's introducing where you're coming from. My opinion at least.

    Come-Along.nl

You're very quick to judge.... I know Hans from another list! Not at all spam. Simply another new Landy owner here.

    Thanks in advance...

    Yup! Reverse-colonization.. :D

    Help!!

Sure it's not a Series III? Got a year of manufacture on it? More pics?

    Thanks in advance...

And another "welcome" from another African member.. :) We're all over the place.

Another SEffrican checking in with a hi and welcome!

    plea for help

That's almost as technical as "landy" vs "truck"! :D

    plea for help

Thank you. :o Credit goes to my Resident Expert for a good deal of the hard slog and the most impressive bits (generally custom-made by himself). Me, I'm just a Landy-chick, addicted to the beasts and getting my hands dirty.

Thanks guys. She's awesome to drive, slow as she is - the kind of truck (sorry, LANDY :D) that makes you grin just getting into her. (She has featured around p160 of the UK Land Rover Monthly mag this year with a couple of her adventures... ;) ) Have learnt a huge amount during the past...
