    was it smoking before the head gasket went? If not then hopefully not the rings. Did you skim the head or check for warpage as even with a new gasket if it was warped then it will not seat properly.

    Hi All, On the Disco 200TDi injection pump which way do you turn the adjuster on the back of the pump to 'reduce' the fuel scheduling? Had some work done by 'specialists' and she now chucks out black smoke so I want to calm it down a bit. Thanks John

    Worth checking they have not broken, trapped or pulled a wire off while they had the covers off. On my 200TDi the loom passes around the front of the cyl head and is easy to trap. Got to be in that area if the belt is all that was changed? My old addage of 'keep it simple' might work so start...
