Try taking a photo of what part you need and post it on here. What you have is a "bitsa" - bits of this bits of that - just like mine. Using your reg is no use!

    Lower spring seat corrosion

I had a similar situation when I was cleaning under the bump stop on my axle. Poking the crud from underneath and it just flipped off revealing a scab underneath. When I checked further a few brackets were in need of attention. I ended up getting a second hand disco axle case, cleaning it up and...

Ran 300TDi low on coolant ~1300km

I think I used the metal P gasket and a smeer of hylomar as I believe it is a better gasket.

Ran 300TDi low on coolant ~1300km

Bit of a late reply, but I think I would personally replace a gasket rather than hope you haven't damaged it.

Ran 300TDi low on coolant ~1300km

And good luck with it - I hope everything is in good condition and you get it up and running.

Ran 300TDi low on coolant ~1300km

I am not experienced but I have changed the water pump with a guy who knew what he was doing. He suggested I replace the bolts too - which I did. Also consider fitting a low coolant alarm - mine has saved me at least once...

    Overheating, Defender 110.

Not sure if this could be the case, but have a feel of the vanes on your radiator. I have had two where when touched they just turned to dust, so no heat transfer. Both my radiators looked fine, but a different story when you touch them!

    A frame Ball joint

From what I recall: Start with the penetrating fluid. You will need to remove the bracket that fits between the two arms and you may find the bolts siezed actually into the ball joint bracket, not just siezed nuts. I used a long breaker bar to move these and you are likely to need to knock them...

    Defender drop arm

Just a note on the torque wrench - the aldi (and perhaps the Lidl one) go up to 210nm. If you only want it for occasional use it may be worth considering. I think the price is around £20 (may be slightly more), but I got mine for £15. I actually have two as I decided to get one to keep in my...

    Let’s talk Rivnuts.

Depending on the type of rivnut, I have fitted some using a impact driver. I have used thus method on m8 and m10. The rivnut needs to be flanged and enough to grip with mole grips etc. Use a socket head screw with lube on the thread, and a washer smaller than the flange. As has been mentioned...

    Washer fluid

I have had washer jet nozzles clog more than once due to some kind of growth forming in the water. Maybe due to me using cheap screenwash and the vehicle getting very little use. On mine the slime lodged inside the screen nozzle. I pulled the nozzle off and used an airline to blow back through...

OPinion of stainless steel brake pipe nipples + ends , and copper brake pipe

I have used cunifer and brass fittings. I then painted the fittings with Lanoguard grease after fitting. I have also used s/s bleed nipples. Personally I would avoid copper as it is so soft it can twist when undoing the fittings. Also, with cunifer, get it from a reputable company. I have...

300 TDI - Does anybody know what shoud be in this hole, bottom of cam belt housing

Wading plugs hole - the name gives it away really. I wouldn't fi them in mine unless going through water. Easily purchased from ebay or a LR parts supplier. Keep them in the vehicle just in case!

Refresh my memory - swivel rebuild

Aviation spanners are good for the swivel to axle case bolts. Also consider fitting new fixings when you put it back on. I used locktite on the threads as apparently it also reduces corrosion on the threads (as well as keeping the bolts in place).

    Death wobble on a 300tdi

Try the easy and cheap one first, swap wheels front to back, or put a pair on the front you know are ok. Try looking at the videos on the subject. I think trailer fitters toolbox on youtube do one on checking the steering.

    Axle Stands

If I made myself any axle stands they would be stronger than the ones I could buy as I would over engineer them - but why go to the effort when the mass produced ones are the price they are!

    Axle Stands

If you are confident of your design, your materials and your welding ability then why not - but if unsure about any of the above then don't. I would happily make my own but I don't see the point. I feel it unlikely you will be able to make any as cheap as you can buy them. Also when you make...

Any problems changing from 265/75/16 on disco 1 alloys to 235/85/16 or 7.5 r16 on steels?

As Dag says, what is the problem you have driving through puddles? I am far from being an expert but this issue may be something other than your tyres. As also stated, your turning circle is affected by tyre width but having a better offset wheel will allow you to adjust the steering stops to...

    Advice on Leaky Swivels

Remember that doing a job like this tends to go into mission creep. If you are doing the swivel seals then you will still need to remove the brake caliper unless you use the method of cutting the seal at the top. If you are removing the caliper then additional items may be required additional...

    Where to buy a Defender?

https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90816.html Not sure if this is any use. Milage looks high perhaps and sounds like it needs new doors.
