Going back to the first post in this thread, how are you getting 14.4 from a battery in a vehicle that hasn't run for weeks and won't start now?

I am sure salt from road gritting does more harm than sea air unless you happen to live right on the beach, we don't get much frost here so roads are rarely salted - chassis and bodywork look pretty good to me :)
