I have bought a 2001 Disco 2, this forum has been an invaluable source of help and info so far. My very first car was a 1956 Series 1 which had to be dragged out of a barn by tractor, me an my mate spent a school summer holiday pulling it apart and putting it back together - happy days - I put a V8 in it a few years later which I regretted doing, the original Rover 60 engine was perfect for it in hindsight
I am sure salt from road gritting does more harm than sea air unless you happen to live right on the beach, we don't get much frost here so roads are rarely salted - chassis and bodywork look pretty good to me
