Well, to cut a long story short, I never did get round to buying either, ended up getting a Fiat (don't ask!) but now I'm back in the market and may be getting a Disco TDi that needs some fettling, so expect some Qs if it turns up. Oh and also moved on from RT, now co run Welcome to Rovergroup...

Don't take my word for it, I'm only going on my experiences of Rovers normal cars, but some parts are shared so it's possible. Hell could be worse, could be an 800 where the ball and socket joints fall apart and leave you with no wipers in the ****ing rain and dark:rolleyes: Heath Robinson...

If it's anything like Rover cars, it's probably the motor gone, intermittent just flaps about the screen where it feels like it, and they refuse to self park when turned off, replacement motors usually worked out cheaper and easier than trying to get the old one apart.

Probably been asked loads, but is it possible to update the front end of an early Disco same as to this? I've read the guide that was posted here, but that was done on a later model, but is it same principal or do you have to start changing wings etc? Thanks

Well Disco was my first choice, and handy to know about veggy oil! I know the L series is happy to run on it, billy bonus that the TDi will too :D
